About the fog. Morning fog is expected at Santa Maria. The pilot may choose to leave later, up to 10:30, which still gets Rosa to her 1:30 appointment. If that happens we will tell you the night before or by 6:30 am, and Dave's pickup moves with it.

Your pilot

TR
Tom Reyes · volunteer pilot
Checked by Angel Flight West every year · 23 flights for us · has flown Rosa twice, in August and October. He is a volunteer: the flight costs you nothing.
A small white plane with four seats, a Cirrus, tail number N428TR. Rosa sits in front next to Tom; Miguel behind.
Everyone wears a headset, so you can talk to Tom and to each other over the engine noise.
About 2 hours. There is no bathroom aboard, so plan before boarding. It can be bumpy over the hills; Rosa's nausea medication before boarding helps.
Tom decides whether the weather is safe to fly. If he says no, the flight waits or moves; nobody will push him, and Maria will call you.

Thursday · the trip home

Discharge is expected by 11 am. The shuttle takes you back to Montgomery field at 12:30.

The pilot for the flight home is still being arranged. Maria will have it confirmed by Wednesday noon and this page will show the name and time. If no volunteer pilot is available, Maria will call you about other options before Wednesday evening.

What to bring

  • Photo ID for Rosa and Miguel
  • Medications for three days, in carry-on
  • One small bag each, under 20 lb. Weight matters in a small plane.
  • Snacks and water. There is no food on the flight.
  • Rosa's nausea medication before boarding, as Dr. Patel suggested

Rosa's next appointment

Rosa flies with us about every six weeks. Tell us the date and Maria starts the next trip from this one: the same people, needs and airports, and the documents that are still valid. You will get a link like this one.

Who can see what

Dave, the pilot and the shuttle see your names, the pickup and drop-off details and Rosa's wheelchair need, only for this trip. Rosa's medical release and Dr. Patel's notes stay with Angel Flight West. Your social worker, A. Torres, sees that the trip is scheduled and nothing more.
